As you walk around the track at Turtle Bend some of Teesdale’s inspiring stories from the past and the present have been recorded and illustrated for all to enjoy and to ponder. Stories of the first Australians; our pioneer early settlers, Gallipoli and Teesdale’s Lone Pines, the changing fortunes of Native Hut Creek and “the coming of The Turtle” are on display in 7 beautifully designed and graphically presented signs.

To visit Turtle Bend and read about Teesdale’s history, turn onto the gravel track at the bridge that leads to the barbeque shelter. The signs are located along the gravel track that follows the creek from the skate park to the Turtle pavilion and back to the public toilets.

The Teesdale community would like to thank the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority for their generous grant that made the interpretive signs possible.
